Corporate Social Responsibility

Engility employees are committed to doing good work in their communities, and as a company. We understand the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Through Engility Serves, we offer our workforce ways to participate in CSR initiatives that are employee-driven and aligned with our corporate values. These outreach efforts consistently produce positive outcomes for our diverse communities. Engility Serves focuses on these key areas:

  • Military and Veteran Support
  • Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM)
  • Health & Human Services

In 2017, Engility helped gift homes for wounded veterans, invested in tomorrow’s STEM leaders and rallied behind those affected by hurricanes. View our 2017 activities.

We carry out these initiatives through the work of employee resource groups, related to veterans, young professionals, women’s interests and STEM. In addition to the information on this page, you can follow us on Facebook for more details and photos on our CSR activities.

Military and Veteran Support

At Engility we provide critical support to our country’s military and intelligence services every day. Nearly 30 percent of our employees are veterans, and giving back to the veteran community is a core focus of Engility Serves, our program for making a difference in our communities.

Engility Serves conducts dozens of activities throughout the year. Many of those support our primary military-focused nonprofit partner, Building Homes for Heroes (BHFH).

Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM)

Engility’s heritage is steeped in science. Many of the companies that eventually formed Engility were founded by engineers. Our employees are solving some of the most difficult STEM challenges in the nation alongside our U.S. government customers, and we have a heart for education and developing the next generation of talent.

Our employees attend science fairs, adjudicate robotics competitions and brief middle schoolers on cryptography. Organized as an employee resource group, these members of our team are having a real impact on the STEM leaders of tomorrow.

At the corporate level, we proudly partner with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF). ASF is dedicated to supporting the very best and brightest STEM scholars in the U.S.

Health and Human Services

Through significant programs that support the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Military Health System, Engility is dedicated to improving our country’s health. That dedication is also seen in the ways our employees choose to volunteer their time and resources. In addition to the military-related organizations that provide for the basic needs or our service members and veterans, Engility participates in a number of food and clothing drives. We also have a long-term relationship with the D.C. Central Kitchen where teams of employees help the organization prepare thousands of meals for those in need.
