Engility wins prime spot on the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) $28 billion Information Analysis Center multiple award research & development contract (IAC MAC) awarded by the U.S. Air Force.
Adams Communications & Engineering Technology, Waldorf, Maryland; Alion Science & Technology Corp., McLean, Virginia, BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services Inc., Rockville, Maryland; Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio; Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., McLean, Virginia; CSRA LLC Washington, District of Columbia; Engility Corp., Chantilly, Virginia; Georgia Tech Applied Research Institute, Atlanta, Georgia; Leidos, Reston, Virginia; MacAulay-Brown Inc., Dayton, Ohio; ManTech International Corp., Fairfax, Virginia; Raytheon Co., El Segundo, California; Southwest Research Institute San Antonio, Texas; URS Federal Services Inc., Germantown, Maryland; and Wyle Laboratories Inc., Huntsville, Alabama, have each been awarded a maximum $28,000,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ), multiple award research and development contract for the competed Information Analysis Center multiple award contract for Defense Technical Information Center. Because this is an ID/IQ, the location of performance is not known at this time and will be cited on individual delivery orders. Generally, work will be performed at government facilities and is expected to be completed Sept. 29, 2027. For Pool 1 unrestricted full and open, the 15 contractors may compete for task orders valued over $15 million under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. Fiscal 2018 and 2019 research and development funds in the amount of $54,000 will be obligated at the time of award for the minimum-order guarantee. This contract was competitively procured via request for proposal and publication on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, is the contracting activity (FA8075-17-R-0001).

Engility names Gabe Garrett vice president, civil space and missile defense
Engility has appointed Gabe Garrett as vice president, Civil Space and Missile Defense division in the company’s Space and Mission Systems group. The division includes Engility’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and commercial space-related business. It also includes Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) business

In his new role, Garrett oversees program operations and strategic development. He brings expertise in NASA Human Space Flight missions with experience supporting Space Shuttle, International Space Station, Constellation, Orion, as well as support to commercial space efforts. Garrett joined Engility in 2015 as a business development lead for the division.

Engility CEO Lynn Dugle Named to AFCEA International Board of Directors Executive Committee
Lynn Dugle, Engility’s Chairman and CEO, has been elected to AFCEA’s International Board of Directors Executive Committee (EXCOM). Her two-year term will enable her to assist AFCEA leadership in making key decisions affecting the intelligence community and other critical areas. The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International (AFCEA International) explores issues and fosters knowledge sharing among its members. The organization focuses on topics in “information technology, communications, and electronics for defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.”

Dugle also serves on the board of directors for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), where she recently acted as the keynote speaker during that organization’s symposium on “The New IC: Empowering Women and Engaging Men.”

Engility wins $85 million Naval Air Systems Command systems engineering contract
Engility Corp., Andover, Massachusetts, is being awarded an $84,874,349 cost-plus-fixed fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide systems engineering support to include multi-discipline, integrated technical baseline evaluation, engineering assessments of progress towards demonstrating and confirming completion of required developmental tasks and confidence that the technical baseline is mature enough for the next stage of development. In addition, this contract provides for a systems engineering assessment of cost, schedule, emerging technology and maturity of design for all Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) acquisition programs in support of the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Department (AIR 4.1). Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland (99 percent); Lakehurst, New Jersey (0.5 percent) and Cherry Point, North Carolina (0.5 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2023. No funds will be obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals; four offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00421-18-D-0017).
