Engility provides engineering and technology support services to our customers throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle of their specific programs. We support C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), mission-specific systems, software, hardware, and platforms in a holistic manner. Our service offerings include systems engineering and integration, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, software engineering and sustainment, hardware engineering and sustainment, and upgrade and modernization. These services reflect our customers’ requirements for specialized technical advice across the technology lifecycle.
Our capabilities in information technology (IT) are primarily focused on project management, software development and integration, hardware and network implementation, and network and information security. We view IT as a primary enabler of our customers’ missions, operations, and back-office business processes. Our areas of expertise include:
- Software Development and Integration. Utilizing our proven software development methodology, expertise in service-oriented architecture (SOA), and COTS integration processes, we support several large scale enterprise system implementations.
- Hardware and Network Implementation. We provide installation and integration services for COTS and mission-specific IT hardware and local network infrastructure.
- Network and Information Security. As part of our IT services, we often integrate embedded cyber-security technologies and support information assurance (IA) accreditation and forensics. We have DoD 8570.1 certified professionals with competencies that include designing and implementing network topology, IT infrastructure protection, risk management, contingency planning, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and certified hacking.
Responsive Alliant Performance Center. Engility’s GWAC Program Management Offiice (PMO) has at its disposal the resources of our entire organization, rich in process, and skilled in Contract Management, Proposal Development, and Order delivery in the highly competitive IT business. Our PMO is staffed with highly experienced personnel who fully understand the critical missions of our clients. The staff is skilled at establishing working relationships with our Government partners that enable Engility to architect solutions of choice while encouraging our clients' use of the GSA Alliant contract.
Capability to Bring the Best Skills to Each Task Order. Engility brings the right mix of internal and external resources to deliver successful services and solutions to any IT task order. Our past performance citations confirm this assertion—over 20 percent of our contracts involve other companies. Our current skilled and motivated staff provides the foundation needed to support a wide range of IT tasks. In addition, we have time-tested processes for quickly supplementing our staff with highly qualified teammates to meet the unique needs of individual Orders.
Unlike many large companies who have a "we can do it all attitude," Engility strives to provide our customers with the best possible resources to do the job, whether the resources are internal or external to Engility. Engility frequently partners with large and small companies and is committed to partnering with small business. For the Alliant program, honed by hundreds of current and past partner relationships and tools to promote rapid identification of potential partners, Engility has defined and uses the following proven process to identify the right partners and seamlessly incorporate them into our delivery process.
Proven Program Management Practices. Engility has a set of Industry Standard Program Management practices based on accepted methodologies and processes (e.g., "Project Management Body of Knowledge" [PMBoK®]), ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 IT Management System, CMMI level 3, and ITIL). We have successfully applied these practices on a wide range of ID/IQ task order contracts that involved extensive subcontractor teams, performance-based service requirements. As an industry leader in business transformation, we apply continuous process improvement techniques to constantly refine and update our external practices and internal functional procedures. Engility employs a state-of-the-art, Web-based DCAA-approved financial management/enterprise business system (EBS) that fully meets the Alliant reporting and deliverable. Engility employs a proactive approach to risk management that involves identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing options to get risk to acceptable levels given program constraints and objectives.
Summary. Engility executive management has placed the highest priority on the Alliant contract. We truly believe that Alliant will be a cornerstone of Engility’s future corporate success. As a result, we have tailored our corporate resources in all support organizations and business operating groups to make the Alliant contract a success. We look forward to working with Government organizations to provide effective, responsive IT solutions to their customers.
